As Artleove Magazine, we had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa, Mai Khao during our current trip to Thailand, and as we anticipated, it was an absolute paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and Thai hospitality. The property is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, and the interiors are absolutely stunning. The moment you step foot on the grounds, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical oasis. The lush greenery and brightly-colored flowers are a feast for the eyes, and the peaceful sound of the waves crashing against the shore will instantly put you at ease. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make sure you have everything you may need.
It is the little details which make Renaissance Resort so unforgettable, and we would like to mention the architecture in particular: whether it’s the collection of private pool villas with turtle-shell shaped roofs, resembling a flotilla of turtles, or the sea shell-shaped sculptures in the rooms, everything is planned with the utmost care and thought. The private garden pool villas include every amenity you may need during your stay, with plunge pools, spacious baths and a seating area, with views of the pool and the luscious garden boasting every shade of green.
There are so many great things to do at the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa, Mai Khao. You can spend your days lounging by one of the pools, getting pampered at the full-service spa, or simply taking a leisurely stroll by the Andaman Sea. If you’re looking for something more adventurous, there’s plenty to do off-property as well. You can go on a beautiful bike ride around the lake Pru Jeh Son – if you find the time of course.
One of the best parts about this resort is that it’s located right on Mai Khao Beach. This beach is absolutely breathtaking, with its soft golden sand and crystal-clear water, perfect for sunbathing and dips in the sea when you need to cool down.
The Resort is also perfect for those considering some remote working or studying during their vacation: Doppio Coffee shop is the perfect study spot, with indoor and outdoor seating and a range of coffees and healthy snacks
For food options: grab some Massaman curry with Jasmine rice, and sip on some Coconut juice at the multi-award winning Takieng Thai restaurant where the dishes all exude a fusion of classic Thai flavors that are recognizable from the first bite. In their very accurate description, Takieng restaurant describes itself as ‘Phuket’s ultimate Thai dining experience, serving authentic Thai dishes with a modern twist’. It is truly wonderful, and we could not recommend it enough. However, if you’re looking for something closer to home, try the Sand Box, the beachfront bar & eatery, for a delicious range of pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, fresh seafood, barbecue options and refreshing cocktails with stunning sunset view.

The staff are attentive and accommodating, the rooms are comfortable and luxurious, and the property is absolutely stunning.
