Paperpan is an Istanbul-based paper artist who uses multicolored paper that has been ingeniously folded to create beautiful animal, insect, and bird images. This edgy and minimalist paper art captures everything from animals to insects on paper, by paper, bringing whimsical enjoyment to the third dimension. A deer, a tiger, a zebra, butterflies, bees, and several species of birds, including parrots, macaws, and toucans, to name a few, are among his incredible origami-style creations.

Inspired by nature, the tropical bird series is among the artist’s early works. Tayfun explores color contrast and harmony of forms found in nature. The artist transforms paper material into a powerful painting tool, prioritizing the relationship between color, dimension and piece as a whole.
